Serving as a Golden LEAF intern personally means learning valuable skills that I can not only take with me to the workforce, but back to my local community as well.

What have you learned that you didn’t think would be a part of External Affairs work?
I have learned things such as designing in Canva and building professional networks.

What are some of your favorite things you do as an intern at Golden LEAF?
Some of my favorite things to do as a Golden LEAF intern are designing on Canva for certain projects when needed, and drafting and writing newsletter articles and social media posts.

Describe Golden LEAF in three words.
Kind. Giving. Rural-Oriented.

What type of work do you want to do when you graduate and where do you see yourself living and working?
I would like to continue working in communications, whether that be with a company, or with print/digital news media.

Would you like to share any words of advice for prospective interns?
It’s never too late to improve your organization and time management skills. Those two things will take you far.
