Katie Fisher joined the Golden LEAF Foundation in August of 2021. As a Program Officer, Katie evaluates funding proposals, supports the implementation of Golden LEAF priorities, and provides oversight for project monitoring and compliance activities. She primarily works on construction related projects within Job Creation and Economic Investment priority. She also works on projects within the Agriculture priority.
Before joining Golden LEAF, Katie worked as a grant writer and administrator for construction related projects. She has worked with a large variety of funders including federal, state, and foundation partners.
A native of Pitt County, Katie holds a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is also a graduate of the North Carolina Rural Center’s Rural Economic Development Institute. Katie lives in Wilson.
