Kasey Ginsberg joined the Golden LEAF Foundation in January 2017. As Vice President/Chief of Staff, Kasey is responsible for leading the strategic development of external-facing work of Golden LEAF including communications, government relations, and the Golden LEAF Scholarship Program. She assists with development of the Foundation’s grantmaking priorities and programs and other initiatives of the Foundation, including managing state and federally-funded programs. Kasey also serves as a member of the President’s leadership team and leads implementation of internal initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness and organization-wide strategic planning efforts.

Before joining Golden LEAF, Kasey served in budget and policy roles for Governor Pat McCrory and Speaker Thom Tillis, where she worked across policy areas including economic development, education, transportation, and disaster recovery.

Kasey has a bachelor’s degree from Meredith College. She serves as Vice Chair of the North Carolina Housing Partnership. Kasey was raised in California and Maryland, and currently lives in Raleigh and enjoys spending time with her dog, Charlie, and her niece and nephew.
