Jason Rochelle joined the Golden LEAF Foundation as a program officer in February 2016. As a program officer, Jason helps ensure that Golden LEAF funds are used to positively impact rural North Carolina economies. He conducts due diligence on applications to assess alignment with the Foundation’s funding priorities and serves as a liaison with grantees on funded projects to support financial and programmatic success.
Prior to joining Golden LEAF, Jason was employed as a regional director for a healthcare corporation for six years; and most recently, served as a nonprofit program manager, overseeing grant development, program monitoring, and evaluation.
Jason was born and raised in eastern North Carolina. He holds a master’s degree in General/Theoretical Psychology from Appalachian State University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNC-Wilmington. Jason and his wife, Michelle, have two children, Elijah and Lillian, and live in Rocky Mount.
