Senior Program Officer

Jacqueline Smith joined the Golden LEAF Foundation in July 2024. As Senior Program Officer, she is responsible for managing awarded grants and participates in various program-related activities and special projects. She works closely with the Senior Vice President/General Counsel and the Vice President/Chief of Staff on projects related to disaster relief, workforce preparedness, the Economic Catalyst program, and other special projects, including NC Ag Leads and Golden LEAF Schools.

Before joining Golden LEAF, Jacqueline served in grant management, responsible for multi-million-dollar grants in healthcare and education, most recently at Princeton University and Duke University School of Nursing and Medicine.

A native of Moore County, Jacqueline holds a Doctorate in Education from Gardner-Webb University, a double master’s degree in Health Administration and Organizational Leadership from Pfeiffer University, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill. She has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. She is active in her community, volunteering with Business and Professional Women of the Triangle and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She lives in Garner.
