Ginger Mustamaa

Director of Programs Administration

Ginger Mustamaa joined the Golden LEAF Foundation in March 2026. As the Director of Programs Administration, Ginger is responsible for analyzing and implementing systems that enhance the efficiency and consistency of Golden LEAF’s grants management processes. She works closely with program staff to develop process improvement strategies that expand the Foundation’s capacity to award funding and support projects across North Carolina.

Before joining Golden LEAF, Ginger served as a Workforce Development Board Director, where she oversaw the management of federal funds and the administration of workforce programs. Throughout her career, she focused on strengthening systems to ensure compliance while strategically deploying resources to align services with the evolving needs of business and industry. Ginger brings more than 20 years of experience in workforce development.

A native of Iowa, Ginger holds a degree from Iowa State University and has earned various certifications in workforce and economic development. She is active in her community and serves as a board member for the Cape Fear Literacy Council and volunteers with Samara’s Village. She and her husband are coming from southeastern North Carolina to make their home in Rocky Mount.
