GOLDEN LEAF FOUNDATION REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
RESPONSES DUE BY March 7, 2023

Scope of Work
Golden LEAF seeks an experienced strategic communications firm to partner in an ongoing relationship to increase awareness of Golden LEAF projects and programs. Golden LEAF expects the successful firm to possess the following qualifications:

• Strategic branding expertise
• Strong graphic design capabilities across all platforms
• Responsiveness and ability to collaborate
• Experience working with either nonprofit or governmental entities, specifically awareness of public records and public-facing requirements
• Ability to provide content in a format to enable access and updates to be made by Golden LEAF 
• Demonstrated success in increasing awareness of an entity, brand, program, etc.
• Clear understanding of Golden LEAF and our mission
• Be based in North Carolina or have a strong North Carolina presence (employees based in state)

The Golden LEAF Foundation will enter its 25th year in 2024. Golden LEAF is interested in leveraging the timing to:

• Comprehensively refresh and enhance the Golden LEAF and Golden LEAF Scholarship brands
• Launch a new GoldenLEAF.org and enhanced scholars.goldenleaf.org

Golden LEAF has identified the following needs for regular contractual support:

• Regular website technical support, including hosting
• Infographic development and design
• Graphic design support for printed materials (one-pagers, postcards, booklets)
• Development of social media content templates (Canva preferred)
• Swag design (including t-shirts and other logo items)
• Development of email templates (Golden LEAF uses MailChimp)

Golden LEAF has identified the following needs for add-on contractual support:

• Photo services
• Video content
• Website redesign

Golden LEAF has assessed a lessor priority on the following activities:

• Paid social media or digital advertising
• Media relations
