Kimberly Smith joined the Golden LEAF Foundation in May 2022. As a Program Officer, Kimberly evaluates funding proposals, supports the implementation of Golden LEAF priorities, and provides oversight for project monitoring and compliance activities. Kimberly manages projects in all of Golden LEAF’s priority areas.
Before joining Golden LEAF, Kimberly worked in quality control and grants program management. She has served as an adjunct instructor teaching human services courses at Halifax Community College. Throughout her career, she has focused on community outreach and providing services to individuals in eastern North Carolina that are underserved and/or underrepresented.
A native of Halifax County, Kimberly has a master’s degree in Human Services from Bellevue University with a concentration in Healthcare and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan University. She is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator.
