Golden LEAF welcomes Program Officer

August 10, 2023

On August 1 2023, the Golden LEAF Foundation welcomed new Program Officer Katie Fisher.

“We are excited for Katie to join the Golden LEAF team,” said Scott T. Hamilton, Golden LEAF President, Chief Executive Officer. “Katie’s skills and expertise will support our Programs Department, especially in the areas of public infrastructure and industrial site assessment.”

Fisher will work primarily but not exclusively with programs and projects involving construction of public infrastructure and with assessment and improvement of sites for economic development. Program Officers evaluate funding proposals, support the implementation of Golden LEAF priorities, and provide oversight for project monitoring and compliance activities.

Before joining Golden LEAF, Fisher worked as a consultant providing grant writing and project administration services to rural communities across North Carolina. Fisher started her career with nonprofits while earning her Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

While Fisher is a native of eastern North Carolina, she currently resides in Raleigh, where she enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family.
