Funder Spotlight: Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust

Funder Spotlight: Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust

November 10, 2022

North Carolina is home to a number of funding institutions supporting strategies necessary for economic growth. As a result of Golden LEAF’s strategic plan, one of the five strategic priorities is to have, and be recognized for, excellence in organizational collaboration, innovation, and impact. To help address this goal, a spotlight on North Carolina funders will be included in the Golden LEAF Newsletter at the beginning of each month as a resource for our readers.

The mission of the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust is to improve the quality of life and health of residents with low incomes throughout North Carolina. The vision at the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, is to support thriving North Carolina communities and thriving residents by working for equitable access to quality health care, education, and economic opportunity.

Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust works to improve the quality of life for residents of Forsyth County, where the Trust is located, and the Trust works to improve health statewide. Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust centers racial equity in all of their work and focuses on changing the systems that have historically held many residents back for far too long.

Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust serves all 100 of North Carolina’s counties, with a current programming focus on Forsyth, Beaufort, Burke, Nash, Edgecombe, Halifax, McDowell, Rockingham, Robeson, Bladen, and Columbus counties.
