This grant provides funding to the City of Reidsville to improve its wastewater treatment plant to facilitate required nutrient removal. The plant’s current capacity to remove nitrogen and phosphorus limits its ability to accept nutrient-containing wastewaters from new industries and could result in requiring additional nutrient limits for existing industrial users. The improvements will enable the city to continue to grow and attract industry. Golden LEAF funds will be used for improvements to the wastewater treatment plan.
