The purpose of this grant was to provide funding to the Goler Community Development Corporation (GCDC) to establish the Workforce Technology Pathway 2020 (WTP). WTP focused on ensuring that 100 under-represented and under and unemployed residents between the ages of 18-30 in Forsyth and surrounding counties could secure employment in the field of Information Technology (IT). Students received support and training to help qualify them for well-paying jobs at local IT companies. Golden LEAF funds were used for student tuition, internship and tuition assistance, program evaluation, and staff salaries.
