This grant provided funding to the City of Wilson to establish an Innovation Hub to attract and retain workers with IT skills in Wilson, spark innovation among Wilson’s current employers, and spur entrepreneurship and innovation across Wilson’s demographic range. The project was expected to benefit employers seeking technology savvy workers and citizens seeking a pathway to business ownership by offering a cooperative fabrication lab, co-working space, training, and support for innovation. Golden LEAF funds were used for building renovations.
