This award provides funding to support the location of Johnson & Johnson, a major biomedical manufacturing company, in Wilson County. The company will create 420 jobs paying an average annual wage of over $108,000, and will make a capital investment of over $1 billion. Golden LEAF funds will be used to acquire training equipment to be installed in a public training facility to be operated by Wilson Community College that will provide necessary training for people interested in working for Johnson & Johnson and other companies and the public. Funding will also be used fo a subject matter expert to assist in planning and procurement related to the equipment to be purchased with Golden LEAF funds. The State has appropriated $30 million for the training center.
