The purpose of this grant is to provide Wilkes Community College (WCC) with funding to renovate an existing building to expand training opportunities for health sciences programs. The grantee states that enrollment in health sciences programs are at or near capacity with some programs having waiting lists. The project will serve over 800 students in curriculum and continuing education health science courses and, by consolidating the delivery of health sciences programs, will free up needed classroom space in other WCC campus buildings. Golden LEAF funds will be used for facility renovation and equipment.
Any project more than a couple of years old may not reflect current Board priorities.
