This grant funded Wayne Community College to expand its welding program. Local employers had indicated demand for approximately 250 welders over the next five years. Though this program the College was able to increase enrollment and provide training using modern instructional equipment. Golden LEAF funds were used to purchase welding equipment and for costs related to the renovation of training space.
