Hurricane Matthew damaged the roof of the Town of Pollocksville’s water treatment plant, contributing to damage to the electrical control panel inside the building. As a result, the Town had to manually switch on and off the water pumps to fill the elevated storage tanks. Replacing the switches was critical to ensuring an adequate water supply was available to the Town. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds were used for the replacement of the electrical control panel.
