Hurricane Florence flooded Trenton’s wastewater treatment plant near the Trent River, damaging the generator and several critical components. The town is in the process of constructing a new plant, expected to be operational by June 2019. Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery grant funds will be used to make repairs and replace critical equipment at the current plant to ensure it remains operational and in regulatory compliance until the new plant is open.
