This grant provided funding to the Town of Wallace to map and assess stormwater infrastructure. The town experiences frequent flooding in several neighborhoods during heavy rain and tropical events, cutting off local access to essential emergency, food, fuel, and to basic sanitary services. The entire town benefitted from completion of this project and will maintain its GIS maps and fund priority projects with stormwater funds collected via a stormwater fee included in monthly water and sewer bills. Golden LEAF funds were used to map existing stormwater infrastructure throughout the town.
