Wind-driven rain during Hurricane Florence damaged the roof of the Union Chapel AME Zion Church, causing water to enter the building and resulting in mold and water damage throughout the interior and exterior of the building. Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds will be used to enable repair of the interior and ceiling of the church and the roof and interior walls in the fellowship hall.
