Trenton United Methodist Church was inundated with more than two feet of water as a result of Hurricane Florence, which damaged walls, flooring, appliances, and the roof, leading to mold growth. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds were used to repair the damaged church. The church received insurance proceeds to replace the roof and applied for an SBA loan. The conference and church membership also contributed funding to the project for improvements not related to the disaster.
