Flooding, power surges and outages, as well as tree damage, resulting from Hurricane Matthew affected the Town of Candor’s pump stations. Because the pump station require upgrades beyond pre-disaster condition, FEMA Public Assistance is not sufficient to complete this project. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funding will be used to complete repairs and hazard mitigation improvements for two pump stations.
