Description:

The East Carolina University School of Education proposes to create the Golden LEAF Consortium of universities and public schools for the purpose of helping rural counties recruit and retain teachers. The Consortium will further refine the design of the initiative, which will include incentives to recruit new teachers, professional development activities and mentors for teacher retention, and the development of collaborative relationships between local schools, business and industry.
