The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Wilson Community College (WCC), in partnership with Wilson County Schools and local industry, to develop and implement an Applied Engineering Technology program at WCC. This program will help train industrial maintenance workers, addressing the shortage of qualified workers for industries in the region. Golden LEAF funding will be used to purchase instructional equipment for the Applied Engineering Technology lab.
