The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to the Town of Star to leverage $512,000 secured from the N.C. Rural Center and N.C. Department of Commerce CDBG funds to complete construction of a $522,000 sewer line that will assist with an industry expansion and provide available infrastructure north of the town on Hwy Bus. 220. The new sewer improvements will connect to an existing gravity line in town. Golden LEAF funding would be used to complete the engineering design.
