Wind and rain during Hurricane Florence damaged the St. Thomas AME Zion Church building and adjacent graveyard. Roof damage resulted in a collapse of the ceiling. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds were used to reimburse the church for roof and ceiling repairs. Insurance proceeds were also used for the project.
