The purpose of this grant is to provide funding to Jones County for the installation of a sprinkler system for its Business Center in Trenton in order to make the space more marketable to businesses and industry. The production area and some other offices within the Business Center have not been rented, as many of the potential renters require a sprinkler system to meet insurance and production requirements. Golden LEAF funds would be utilized for the piping, installation of the system, and water main boring and casing. The County is providing $5,000 toward the project from its Economic Development Capital budget.
