This grant provided funding to Roanoke-Chowan Community College to establish a satellite campus in Northampton County. The college was expected to serve 50 students at the site with short-term virtual and in-person classes that could be completed in three to eight month and lead to industry-recognized credentials in demand by the local industry to include truck driver training, Nurse Aide I and II, diesel mechanics, facilities maintenance, construction trades, heavy equipment operation, agribusiness, plate welding, production technology, and other programs. Golden LEAF funds were used for renovations, equipment and supplies, transportation, personnel, and marketing.
