This award provides funding to the City of Lumberton to relocate electrical infrastructure on city-owned property to facilitate the location of Cold-Link Logistics at the Southeast Crossroads Industrial Park. Cold-Link Logistics is a third-party logistics company in the cold storage industry. The company will build a new cold storage facility, making a capital investment of approximately $146 million. The company expects to create 123 new jobs, paying an average annual wage of $50,218, compared to the Robeson County average of $42,730. Golden LEAF funding will be used to relocate city-owned electrical infrastructure from city-owned property that is part of the site on which the company will locate.
