The Smyrna Baptist Church Youth Center was flooded as a result of Hurricane Florence. Interior walls, bathrooms, as well as the crawl space, sump pump, dehumidifier and HVAC vents need to be replaced to remove mold and mildew. The roof was also damaged. Golden LEAF Hurricane Florence Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds will be used to repair the crawl space and associated equipment. Insurance proceeds will be used towards the cost of the roof repair and interior repairs.
