This award provides funding to Robeson County for development of 17 acres within the COMTech Business Park. The county anticipates that successful industry recruitment to the site would create approximately 75 new full-time jobs with an average annual wage of $45,550 which is higher than the county average of $42,730, $9,152,000 in private capital investment, and $9,841,695 in public investment. Golden LEAF funds are requested for site work related to clearing & grading, erosion control, adding backfill, and creating an access road. This site is also the location of a Golden LEAF funded shell building project.
