Robeson County Church and Community Center provides a food pantry, basic medical supplies and utility assistance in Robeson County. Its facility in Red Springs had extensive roof damage during Hurricane Matthew and again during Hurricane Florence. The damage caused by Hurricane Florence did not exceed the insurance deductible and has not been repaired. Golden LEAF disaster recovery grant funds will be used to repair the roof and ceiling. The United Way will manage the grant funds and contractors as they do when working with nonprofit organizations to provide support to community members following hurricanes.
