AMEXCAN was formed in 2001 as a community advocacy organization supporting the Latino community across the state. AMEXCAN relied on members located in each community to share information and identify needs. Funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund was used for home repair, including materials and subcontractors, replacement personal property, and new case management capacity.
