This grant provides funding to Duplin County to help Villari Brothers Foods expand its operations in the county. Villari Brothers Foods is a food processor located in Warsaw, NC that produces smoked drumsticks, pork loins and other value-added meat products. The company is expanding into new markets and expects to create 50 new jobs. To accommodate this growth, Villari Brothers Foods is enlarging its production facilities, and adding smokehouses, processing, and refrigeration capacity. Golden LEAF funds will be used to purchase refrigeration equipment which will be leased to Villari Brothers Foods at fair market value.
