This award provides funding to support the location of JetZero, Inc. at the Piedmont Triad International Airport in Guilford County. JetZero will construct a new aircraft manufacturing plant and related facilities at the Piedmont Triad International Airport to build a blended wing body aircraft and is expected to create over 14,000 jobs paying an average annual wage of nearly $90,000 and to make a capital investment of over $4.5 billion. The project is expected to draw employees from surrounding rural, economically distressed counties such as Randolph, Rockingham, and Stokes counties. Golden LEAF funds will be used to construct public water and sewer infrastructure needed for the Project.
