This grant provides funding to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNC-P) to complement $23 million in Connect NC bond funding to construct a new $36.2 million building for the School of Business. The school recruits and graduates a high percentage of students from tobacco-dependent and economically distressed counties, including Robeson, Scotland, Richmond, Bladen, and Columbus. State-of-the-art improvements will allow the school to expand existing programs and create new ones that are necessary for contemporary professional preparedness. Golden LEAF funds will be used for classroom learning technology equipment for the new College of Business.
