Pollocksville Hwy 17 Waterline Replacement/Relocation

Organization:
Town of Pollocksville
Amount:
$87,396.75
Program Area:
Disaster Recovery Grant Program
County of Applicant:
Jones
Year:
2017
Description:

Flooding as a result of Hurricane Matthew contributed to degradation of an existing culvert crossing of Highway 17. Pollocksville operates a water distribution main adjacent to Highway 17 that crosses the culvert. Erosion left the existing waterline exposed and at risk for failure. The Town has worked with the NC Department of Transportation to temporarily stabilize the exposed waterline. This Golden LEAF grant will replace the waterline crossing with a horizontal directional bore below the culvert.
