This award provides funding to Northampton County to extend 10,400 linear feet of 8 inch wastewater line and install a supplemental lift station. The project will support 225 acres in the Northampton County Commerce Park to which the county anticipates recruiting manufacturing related businesses. The county projects the creation of 100 new full-time jobs with an average annual wage of $53,750, compared to the county average of $49,123, $75,000,000 in private capital investment, and $2,961,322.20 in investment in public infrastructure. The project will also leverage funding from the State’s Industrial Development Fund. Golden LEAF funds will be used for construction, including contingency, of the wastewater line and the lift station.
