The purpose of this grant is to provide continued scholarship support to existing Golden LEAF Scholars at North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities member institutions. The grant will provide 216 scholarships of $3,000 each to students for the 2011-2012 school year. Eligible students must be from rural North Carolina counties that are tobacco dependent or economically distressed.
