This grant provided funding to Nash Community College for equipment that was located in the college’s new 16,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility. The new building was constructed using Connect NC Bond funds to house academic and training space for students enrolled in Computer-Integrated Machining, Electrical Systems Technology, Industrial Systems Technology, Welding Technology, and Electronics Engineering Technology programs. Students had the opportunity to obtain multiple National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) credentials and participate in apprenticeship programs at local industries in the area.
