Flooding from Hurricane Matthew had deteriorated the Town of Ayden’s stormwater infrastructure in the Montclair subdivision. Collapsed and failing pipes resulted in localized flooding and the formation of sinkholes. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funding supported the replacement of stormwater infrastructure to restore stormwater drainage and eliminate existing hazards.
