Description:

The Core Sound Waterfowl Museum suffered major roof damage as a result of Hurricane Florence. The museum’s insurance provided funds to return the roof to its pre-disaster condition, including the use of asphalt shingles. Due to issues encountered with the recently installed shingled roof, the museum proposed to replace the damaged roof with a metal system. Golden LEAF Disaster Recovery Grant Program funds were used to support the replacement of the roof. Insurance proceeds and other grant funds were used to complete the project.
