This award provides funding to Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne Inc. to support infrastructure needed to serve Phase 1 of the development of McNair Heights Neighborhood. The $1.9 million infrastructure project includes water, sewer, road, sidewalk, curb, gutter, and stormwater. In Phase 1, 31 new homes projected to house 122 people will be constructed, of which 25 are planned for low- to moderate-income families. The remaining 6 lots will be sold to local market-rate home builders to create a mixed-income community. Golden LEAF funds will be used for infrastructure costs.
