Description:

The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to assist Vance-Granville Community College and its partners Vance County Schools, Granville County Schools, Franklin County Schools and Warren County Schools Career and Technical Education programs to form the Manufacturing Skills Training Alliance aimed at developing a local workforce prepared to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain modern industrial equipment. The Manufacturing Skills Training Alliance will provide training in electrical motor controls, fluid power, PLC troubleshooting, electrical power systems, mechanical drive systems, and industrial controls to develop skills identified as essential to employers in the service area.
