The purpose of this Golden LEAF grant is to assist with training efforts in eight counties to provide employers with reliable, competent employees in the service sector and in tourism-related businesses. This project should take advantage of employment opportunities created by regional development activities, particularly related to entertainment, tourism and military base realignments. LEAP2 will work with local Workforce Development Boards to identify, train, and place 200 participants.
