This grant supports construction of a publicly owned 1-million-gallon elevated water storage tank to serve the Mid Atlantic Industrial Rail Park megasite, which is located on the Brunswick/Columbus line. Planning to locate a production facility in the park is Project Resilience. The company would make a capital investment of $650 million and create 500 jobs paying, on average, $52,264, by the end of 2028. The Brunswick County average wage is $46,464. Golden LEAF funds will be used for costs associated with the elevated water tank, the total cost of which is $6.256 million. Other potential funders of the water tank include the county and the State.
