The Cumberland Disaster Recovery Coalition partners with nonprofit agencies, faith-based and charitable organizations to assess the unmet needs during the long-term recovery period following a disaster. The Unmet Needs Committee evaluates applications presented by Disaster Case Managers and provides resources based on eligibility and need. Funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund will be used assist survivors with rental assistance, furniture, and other unmet needs.
