The Cumberland Disaster Recovery Coalition partnered with nonprofit agencies, faith-based, and charitable organizations to assess the unmet needs during the long-term recovery period following a disaster. The Unmet Needs Committee evaluated applications presented by Disaster Case Managers and provided resources based on eligibility and need. Funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund was used to assist survivors with rental assistance, furniture, and other unmet needs.
