The Southeastern District of the Lutheran Church responded to prior disasters in North Carolina including Hurricane Floyd and Hurricane Matthew. The District is currently operating recovery efforts in Havelock, Lumberton, Jacksonville, and Wilmington, assisting survivors with tree and debris removal as well as mold remediation. Funding awarded from the NC Hurricane Florence Relief Fund will be used for the purchase of materials to support the replacement of drywall. The District anticipates repairing 20 homes in Duplin and Onslow.
Any project more than a couple of years old may not reflect current Board priorities.
