This award supported establishment of a warehouse logistics training program at Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, Inc. Training was provided at Second Harvest’s headquarters and training facility in Whitaker Park, the former Reynold Tobacco factory complex in Winston-Salem. Second Harvest collaborated with Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, GuilfordWorks, and local industry partners to train 25 individuals, preparing them for jobs in forklift operations, warehouse management, or truck driving. Golden LEAF dollars were used for equipment associated with the logistics program.
